Mount Olympus
SC03 is located at Snow Dome on the north flank of Mt. Olympus.
Thanks to Olympic National Park for permitting this continously
operating GPS and weather observation site, and to everyone who helped make it happen.
In collaboration with UNAVCO, we installed a hand-drilled geodetic
monument, known as the short drilled-braced monument. SC03 is a geodetic
quality SuomiNet site. A radio communications link between the site and Victoria B.C.
(Pacific Forestry Centre) will provide quasi real-time data flow.
